Nick Seaver

Nick Seaver
Associate Professor, Anthropology
Director, Science, Technology & Society
Associate Professor, Computer Science

Nick Seaver studies how people who make technology deal with cultural materials. He examines how engineers theorize about culture and technology – who they are and how they should interact. He also investigates the technocultural life of attention in the United States. He received his PhD from the University of California, Irvine.
